THE SAKAI: Japanese fine dining in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen
Hiroshi Sakai entered the world of Sushi when he was 18 years old. It takes years of assiduous effort and dedication to master and perfect the traditional art of Japanese cuisine. The first fruits of his success were his restaurants in Japan; now diners at The Sakai in Frankfurt’s Sachsenhausen district too can delight in his artistry.
Japanese food culture is based on “Umami”, known internationally in the world of gastronomy as the “fifth taste”. Great importance is attached to the use of seasonal and local vegetables of the highest quality. Fish is only purchased from trustworthy and sustainable sources. Respect for the environment and biodiversity are paramount.
