Open once again!
Many restaurant have now reopened, one such being Depot 1899 in the Sachsenhausen district of Frankfurt. The location, formerly a railway depot, is spacious and therefore ideally suited to the present circumstances when guests don’t want to be packed like sardines, yet wish nonetheless to enjoy the magic of eating out – of enjoying a meal in the company of others. As well as masses of room indoors, there are plenty of tables outside.
The menu, according to the website, is somewhat abbreviated at the moment, but a wide selection of classics of Hessian and German cuisine in general is still available. In the genre ‘Hessian tapas’, there are small appetizers for € 3.90 each; and vegetarians, far from being fobbed off with the usual salad, will find plenty else in addition that’s to their liking!
Depot 1899 lends itself magnificently to events. In fact, there are 4 separate events areas, which can hired separately or combined in various configurations to cater to anything from 10 to 1,000 guests. Professional catering from trained specialist staff as well as modern equipment and facilities round off the offer, ensuring that every event is the hoped-for success.
