Dinner on the Main or with Moroccan flair – two Offenbach restaurant tips
In the galley of the good ship Backshaft, a floating restaurant on the river Main, both international and regional specialities are served. The open cook-house allows you to watch the chefs going about their work, creative yet ever respectful of tradition. After the meal, you can retire to the saloon for a long drink, a whisky, a beer or some wine, of which a fine selection from the local vineyards is available, and contemplate from on board the shimmering sea of lights as the sun goes down. A memorable alternative to dinner on dry land! Please call for reservations, it’s sometimes closed because of exclusive events.
Also in Offenbach, the Kanouhou restaurant’s ‘Moroccan Weeks’ , in which the chef is serving exotic delicacies from his homeland, continue until the 16th March. The atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant is highly rated (“Frankfurt geht aus! 2018” etc.).
Located in the city’s North End and with a splendid summer garden, the restaurant is only 30 minutes’ drive (in the absence of traffic jams) from the exhibition centre, or, if you arrive by S-Bahn (S8), three minutes from the station.
Both restaurants can be booked as event locations!
